The North Delhi Municipal Corporation has decided to re-employ around 700 contract teachers in its primary schools. This information has been given by the officials. Civic authorities said the move would benefit teachers whose contracts were terminated last year.
NDMC issued notice regarding the appointment of 700 contract teachers
The BJP-ruled NDMC had issued a notification in this regard on Friday. The notification issued by the civic body said that the North DMC commissioner has approved the re-appointment of all those contract teachers (primary) who were engaged on contract basis in the session 2019-20 and on May 10, 2020. Have worked in primary schools till now.
The proposal was first approved by the education committee
At the same time, Alok Sharma, chairman of the education committee of the North Corporation, said that this step has also been approved by the committee. Sharma said that, "The proposal to re-appoint 667 primary teachers was first approved by the education committee and It was then reviewed by the commissioner.
